No passado dia 27 de Maio teve lugar, em Coimbra, o I Meeting da SOPIO. A expectativa era grande, no sentido de que este foi o primeiro evento organizado por esta sociedade.
A resposta foi amplamente positiva. O evento contou com 283 inscritos e as conferências pautaram-se por um elevado conteúdo clínico e científico, como é apanágio dos oradores que amavelmente acederam ao convite.
Regozijamo-nos com espírito de convívio e camaradagem que existiu entre todos os presentes. É com este espírito que queremos caminhar. Somos uma sociedade que se quer inclusiva e congregadora, procurando ajudar a enfrentar os desafios clínicos e científicos da nossa profissão.
Com esse mesmo propósito, foi com alegria que estabelecemos neste I Meeting uma parceria com a Sociedade Espanhola de Implantologia.
Não podemos, igualmente, deixar de ter uma palavra de agradecimento para com os nossos patrocinadores e para com todas as pessoas que se associaram ao evento, tornando possível a realização do mesmo, confiando, desde a primeira hora, nesta sociedade científica que começa a dar os primeiros passos.

[:en]The I meeting of SOPIO was held on 27th of May in Coimbra . The expectation was high, in the sense that this was the first event organised by this society.
The response was widely positive. The event counted with 283 subscribers and conferences revealed a high clinical and scientific content, as is appanage of the speakers who kindly accepted the invitation.
We rejoice in the spirit of the friendly reunion that existed among all the presents. Its with this spirit that we want to move forward. We are a society that wants to be inclusive and congregant, seeking to help overcoming the clinical and scientific challenges of our profession.
With this same purpose, it was with joy that we established in this I meeting a partnership with the Spanish Society of Implantology.
